New coffee shop and roastery at the "Y" in South Lake Tahoe. This new structure incorporates architecturally exposed steel elements requiring the structural engineer to pay close attention to structurally exposed details. In addition to the main structure the entry pavilion provided design challenges to incorporate the "wing" shaped structure.

Construction expected to begin spring 2025

This 4,800 sf single-family residence in Incline Village, NV is situated on a steep sloping lot with breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe. The design, by Smith Design Group, called for a three-story structure cantilevering by three and a half feet on three sides at each floor, to maximize square footage for the allowable coverage. This posed a significant structural challenge for both the gravity and lateral farming systems. With close collaboration with Smith Design Group, Billy was able to provide a clean / elegant steel structure that meet the design objectives.

Lakeshore Residence

This approximately 13,000 sf single-family residence in Incline Village, NV is situated on Lakeshore Drive with stunning views of Lake Tahoe. The architectural design by Suarez-Kuehne Architecture called for a more rustic exposed wood design. Large timber beams and steel elements were used to achieve the desired rustic look, careful consideration of these details was implemented to ensure that all the steel elements were hiding in plain sight to achieve the desire design aesthetic.
